The Chart Archive Consultation

This wiki has been created for the purpose of discussing a proposed chart archive. The proposal is for an open and user editable website containing an archive of chart information, initially the site will contain singles and album charts for the UK but the aim is for it to be extensible to charts for other countries and media (DVDs cinema etc).

The aim of the consultation is to thrash out the best possible site design, from database design, to user interaction to website interface. Key aims of the site are listed below:

• Integration with similar projects.
• Access to the site's data through an API.
• Powerful yet intuitive user interface.

A roadmap is now being developed to allow coding to begin.
